What’s it all about?
Teaching lexically, or focusing on meaningful “chunks” of language in our classes, is becoming an increasingly attractive option for teachers looking for alternatives to familiar, but often ineffective, grammar-based strategies.

However, the new-found interest in this vocabulary-based approach has not been without its detractors. This workshop aims to guide you through some of the controversy surrounding the lexical revival, explore terms such as collocation, colligation and co-text, and focus on practical techniques and activities to help you and your students take a broader, more dynamic approach to working with vocabulary.
